Many greetings of the season
I consider this a great honour for me to deliver an inaugural address on the very auspicious occasion which will prove to be a milestone in the history of Ayurveda. This is a visionary step in the propagation and acceptance of Ayurveda worldwide. Ayurveda being a Science of Life, is advised exclusively for the welfare of the ailing humanity. The object of Ayurveda is to preserve the health of the healthy ones and to treat the diseases conditions to achieve the four Purushartha-the goals of life: Dharma - by abiding natural laws by which one holds life: Artha - to earn the wealth with Dharma, Kama - enjoyments or to fulfill many desires with Dharma, and lastly Moksha - salvation/satisfaction resulting from a meaningful life which is the ultimate goal of life. Ayurveda is a nature friendly science. The human being is considered a miniature replica of universe and there is a constant interaction among these to maintain equilibrium.
The foundation of EURAMA is the timely action as the global community desires a nature friendly and holistic treatment and hence EURAMA has to play a very vital role for which a multidisciplinary approach is required. The validation of Ayurvedic formulations and practices in the light of prevalent methodology is required for wider acceptance and practices by masses, for this the involvement of pharmaceutical industries, research institutions, and other related organizations is essential. Ayurveda is never static but always pragmatic, as advised by the ancient scientists that according to the era the addition/modifications are to be made without deviation from the basic principles of Ayurveda. The language of Ayurveda is different from the present scientific language. One hast to be very careful while translating or passing the information as it should be, as a correct message in confirmation with Ayurveda.
I hope that the EURAMA will work together with all the like-minded organizations of Ayurveda and related sciences to bring back the glory and the trust into the world's most holistic Life Science, i.e. Ayurveda.
With warm regards
